6 involved in drug peddling sent to judicial custody in J&K | KNO

Six people allegedly involved in drug peddling were detained and sent to judicial custody in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, police said today.

Continuing with efforts to check the spread and consumption of narcotic drugs in the state, the accused were taken into preventive custody from the Thanamandi and Darhal police station areas by Station House Officer (SHO) Darhal Sub Inspector Habib Pathan, they added.

They were identified as Imtiaz Ahmed, Amir Mohd, Imtiyaz Ali, Sourab Kumar, Manawar Hussain Shah and Rafaqat Hussain, an official said. The officer said all six were lodged at a judicial lockup on the directions of the Executive Magistrate.
